After an excellent job coordinating relief events from Cyclone Larry, former Army Chief Peter Cosgrove is being considered as a replacement weatherman on channel 7’s Sunrise program. The move could see him on Dancing With Stars within a year.

Australia is to have a new ID card that will help Kim Beazley remember the names of Labour senators. This is good news for the Labour leader who recently had difficulty remembering the names of Senators in South Australia, referring to Annette Hurley as Liz Hurley, Dana Wortley as Princess Diana and Linda Kirk as Captain Kirk.

Turnbull to use public transport – Sydney Buses Orders New Fleet of Mercedes SLKs

Sydney Buses will order a new fleet of one two seater convertible Mercedes SLK to run a new route from Malcolm Turnbull’s Eastern suburbs home to wherever he wants to go. This follows Turnbull’s announcement that he will ditch his chauffeur driven car and turn to public transport, with a $20,000 annual allowance.

Stones Tour is Proof Of Abuse Of Old People

The Federal Government is getting serious about abuse of old people in nursing homes after it was discovered that a group of pensioners are being forced into giving concerts at Telstra Stadium this week. Thousands of Sydneysiders are involved in the abuse scandal, which was typified by an unfortunate warbrobe incident last night when a Mr Keith Richards soiled his trousers. The group, calling themselves The Rolling Stones, caused mayhem, chucking their zimmer frames out the window of their nursing home after their concert.

Banks Charge Customers to Breathe

Banks will be charging for air used up by customers waiting in queues at their local branches. The controversial new charge is expected to create an extra $1bn in profits for the banking sector, doubling next year as charges and queue lengths blow out still further.

George Bush is planning to launch missile attacks on any countries with leaders he can’t pronounce. Iran, led by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is the most likely first target. Jeque Abdullah ibn Khalifah Al Thani of Qatar is said to be on the list, along with Governor Blagojevich of Illinois.
