Australian companies could soon be outsourcing their CEOs to call centres in India. Banks and telecommunications companies could save hundreds of millions dollars using CEOs from Bangalore, most of whom are happy to accept a wage of just $3.48 per fortnight, including a performance bonus.

Macquarie Bank CEO Allan Moss is disappointed with the $21.2million he earned in the year to March 31 2006. His salary amounts to just $40 per minute, compared to the rumoured $150 per minute earned in just two weeks by each of the two Beaconsfield mine survivors.

Phone a Friend Contravenes Cold Calling Legislation

Eddie MacGuire has shelved “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” after the “phone a friend” lifeline was found to contravene Helen Coonan’s new cold calling legislation.
Attempts to confirm this story were met with a $220,000 fine, after Rajish from our Mumbai call centre tried to contact the Minister’s office. Pre-election recorded phone calls from the Prime Minister will be exempt from the legislation, of course.
